Ayoub Bounou, born in 2013 in Brussels and 11 at the time of this interview, lives in Koekelberg, has Dutch and Moroccan roots and is a primary school pupil. He comes from a large family and is already uncle to several children. Loves the park nearby where he went with his brother and now with his friends. Brussels is his city’, chips, the Atomium, multilingual and a city with lovely people. He participates in Ramadan and celebrates Eid. He plays football in Molenbeek and dreams of becoming a professional footballer. His questions about the future are about his family and he wonders what identity Brussels will develop.
Ayoub Bounou, né en 2013 à Bruxelles et âgé de 11 ans au moment de l'entretien, vit à Koekelberg, a des racines néerlandaises et marocaines et est élève à l'école primaire. Il vient d'une famille nombreuse et est déjà l'oncle de plusieurs enfants. Il aime le parc tout proche où il allait avec son frère et maintenant avec ses amis. Bruxelles est pour lui « sa ville », les frites, l'Atomium, le multilinguisme et une ville avec des gens adorables. Il participe au ramadan et célèbre l’Aïd. Il joue au football à Molenbeek et rêve de devenir footballeur professionnel. Ses questions sur l'avenir concernent sa famille et il se demande quelle identité Bruxelles développera.

Hij komt uit een groot gezin en is al nonkel van verschillende kinderen. Houdt van het park in de buurt waar hij met zijn broer ging en nu met zijn vrienden. Brussel is voor hem "zijn stad", frieten, het Atomium, meertalig en een stad met lieve mensen. Hij doet mee aan de Ramadan en viert het Suikerfeest. Hij speelt voetbal in Molenbeek en droomt ervan om profvoetballer te worden. Zijn vragen aan de toekomst gaan over zijn familie én hij vraagt zich af welke identiteit Brussel zal ontwikkelen.
