Najla Alshami, born in Yemen in 1976, moved to Beirut during the 2014 war and after the explosion in Beirut, she moved to Brussels. She lives in Brussels City and is an artist. For her, Brussels is the capital, diversity, home, her neighbourhood of Sainte-Catherine. She would love to visit all the museums and go to the opera and other cultural activities, but it is too expensive for her. Her questions to the future are about welcoming newcomers, tolerance and affordability of life in Brussels.
Najla Alshami, née au Yémen en 1976, a déménagé à Beyrouth pendant la guerre de 2014 et après l'explosion de Beyrouth, elle s'est installée à Bruxelles. Elle vit à Bruxelles et est artiste. Pour elle, Bruxelles est la capitale, la diversité, la maison, son quartier Sainte-Catherine. Najla Alshami, geboren in Yemen in 1976, trok naar Beiroet tijdens de oorlog van 2014 en na de explosie in Beiroet verhuisde ze naar Brussel. Ze woont in Brussel-Stad en is artiest. Brussel is voor haar de hoofdstad, de diversiteit, thuis, haar buurt Sint-Katelijne. Ze zou graag alle musea bezoeken en naar de opera gaan en andere culturele activiteiten, maar het is te duur voor haar. Haar vragen aan de toekomst gaan over het verwelkomen van nieuwkomers, tolerantie en betaalbaarheid van het leven in Brussel.
